My essay:

The plan illustrates the changes in the southwest airport now and next year

Overall, there will be an expansion in the airport in order to provide more gates, and the introduction of new amenities will offer more convenience for both departing and arriving passengers.

In detail, an additional gate for departures and arrivals will be installed in the airport after development, compared to a single entry and exit at present. The departures initially have a check-in and cafe, but these facilities will be relocated to make room for a new bag-drop area. Moreover, the security checkpoints and passport control will remain unchanged. After passing complete security clearance, passengers are also expected to pay a visit to shops.

Moving to the arrival hall, new facilities, namely ATM and car hire area will be introduced, together with an addition of a cafe shop on the left-hand side. Like the departure area, post control and customs service will remain unchanged.

In the following year, the airport will open more gates, rising the total number of gates to 18, in order to accommodate more passengers. Furthermore, the walkway area will be replaced by a sky train to improve passengers’ transportation.
