To some people studying the past has little value in the modern world. Why do you think it is important to do so? What will be the effect if the children are not taught history?

History plays an important role in people’s lives and there is much in it which is relevant to the present times; therefore, it is necessary to explore the old days to help us today.

There are several reasons why learning the bygone time is crucial. In the first place, studying other historical periods gives insight into different ways of life. A typical example of this is that students can investigate how people lived in ancient times such as in ancient Greece or during the roman empire, which results in them comparing these societies with their own, becoming more aware of the society they live in. Furthermore, being taught about conflicts in the past can teach them how to avoid them in future and the past can often provide explanations for the situation being faced today; consequently, learners come to appreciate the contribution that earlier generations made to the present, then try their best to work or study.

Integral as history is, it is not prepared for a number of pupils and this brings about adverse impacts. The most obvious influence is repeating the mistakes of the past, which is destructive because it leads to a society unable to develop and possible of coming to a standstill. In addition, the problem of students not having access to history not only creates many knowledge gaps but also negatively affect their morality. To elaborate, teenagers won’t have the ability to differentiate between the wrong and right doings, what should or should not perform.

In conclusion, teaching people distant past is a need due to its benefits and not doing so will cause trouble.
