Overall, it is noticeable that the process of manufacturing chocolate comprises 10 stages, beginning with collecting pods from cacao trees and ending with the production of liquid chocolate.
Looking at the picture in more details, initially, when cocoa trees grown in South America, Africa and Indonesia bear ripe red pods, these are harvested and white cocoa beans inside them are collected. Afterwards, beans are fermented before being spread to dehydrate in the sun to be ready for next step.
In the following step, after the dried beans are put into large sacks, they are loaded onto train, lorry or ship to deliver to the factory where the beans are roasted at a very high temperature of 350 degrees. After being roasted, the beans are then crushed and the outer shells are removed. Finally, the inner part of the beans is pressed to make into liquid chocolate and the process is complete.
