Please review my IELTS essay

Topic:

In order to study at university students are required to pay expensive tuition fees. Not all students can afford them so some people think that university education should be free for everyone. To what extent do you agree?

My essay:

It is sometimes argued that higher education should subsidize everyone. Personally, I strongly disagree with this idea.

It is understandable why some believe that all students should be provided free tertiary education. I am convinced that the biggest reasons can help many students to attend a university that does not need the anxiety to face financial constraints, and this is an opportunity to change the life of students who stem from low-income households. On the other hand, If amount persons that take part in university increase, several problems such as the lack of skilled labor can be solved. However, I believe that this view is flawed. The budget of the university depends on quite a lot of tuition fees from students, therefore, If college education is free financial problems like paying teachers' salaries or upgrading equipment can become a burden for higher schools.

In addition, I am firm of the opinion that totally subsidizing tuition fees will impact the college's budget and the financial source of the government. When university loses their income from students, every money problem depends on a government grants. This can render increase taxes to afford giant education funds. Besides, If the school is free, this could devalue the worth of a degree when it is too easy for anyone to take part in university. These might oversaturate some areas of the workforce.

In conclusion, there are sufficient grounds to reject the view that undergraduates should be provided university education free. It is my genuine belief that the cons of this outweigh the pros, and instead of completely free tertiary education, higher education should have a support policy part of the charge for college students.
