My essay:
The bar chart reveals the changes in the number of cars owned by people in China between 1987 and 1999. The data is given in the number of vehicles per ten thousand people. Overall, vehicle ownership significantly increased over the period, with relatively slow growth at the beginning and at a faster pace in the last several years.
As the data suggests, in 1987 for every 10,000 Chinese, there were only 250 cars in use. This number doubled in the next couple of years and grew by 300 in 1991. The following years, however, showed only marginal rise to around 900 automobiles.
Starting from 1995, the car ownership rate was on a rapid increase, as it doubled in 1995 and kept this tendency till the end of the period. Extra 2000 vehicles were bought in the years between 1995 and 1999 and slightly more than that in 1999. This resulted in every four out of ten Chinese citizens owning a car in that year, or 4100 per 10,000 people.
Edit: I changed the measurement from vehicles per thousand people to "per 10,000", just my assumption that the graph has a mistake as it is hard to imagine 4500 cars per 1000 people in China. The source of the image was not official. Maybe I should not have.

Right. You must eschew writing on such invalid essay topics. Toss the topic in the garbage
