My essay:
Nowadays, because of the globalization, there are more and more people settle in a foreign country in order to have a better opportunity of getting a job. It is clear that living in a foreign country has its own benefits and drawbacks to consider, particularly social problems and practical problems, however I think anyone coming from another country should respect national culture.
Firstly, the social problems would be language barrier, which means a foreigner might not be able to fully communicate and understand the language. This can cause serious mistakes during conversation between a native and an outsider. Moreover, the diversity between countries may also be considered as a social problem. An individual who comes into the country might offend others with their behaviors and language. For example, Italian usually kiss on each other cheeks for greeting as a way to express intimacy and friendliness, but in Vietnam, we never do that and might consider it as a rude behavior.
Secondly, the practical problems would relate to finding a job. A person who works in foreign country might not be appropriate for people whom he serves. For instance, there can be racist in workplace, so the talented outsider may not be given as many opportunities as the native newcomer, which is very unfair. In addition, due to different culture, the way people interact with each other may asynchronous which leads to undeserving conflicts.
In conclusion, it can be said that there are a lot of misconceptions which people have when they are an outsider to a foreign country, and in my opinion people should cultivate themselves in oder to know how to behave in a distinct environment.
