Topic: More and more students are choosing to studdy at colleges and universities in a foreign country. do the benefits of studying abroad outweigh the drawbacks?

This is my essay:

These days, students are leaning to study abroad instead of their own country. In my opinion, although this trend is not without disadvantage, the upsides will justify for these.

It is widely believed that there have been various demerits from learning in other countries. The truth is that in many developing countries, for example, the US, the cost of living is very high from the tuition, foods to the rent. Therefore, studying in a foreign country put a heavy burden on family budgets. As a result, some students have to work extra so much to cover the expenses that they are always under pressure. The second concern is that students might encounter cultural difference such as language barriers or culture shock. Apparently, if they don't acculturate, they might be discouraged from communicating or interacting with others. Finally, getting homesick is a huge problem that leads students to the feeling of lonely. They might be suffered from depression because of lack of parental care and the sharing from close friends.

However, the merits of this trend overshadow the demerits. A prominent education offers students a lot of job opportunities. They could have a good grasp of knowledge and develop soft skills such as creativity, logical thinking or problem-solving ability. Besides, it is no doubt that a school is a society miniature. Therefore, overseas students could broaden their horizons, namely expand social circle or foster mental and physical development. As a result, they would become more competitive in the job market and effortlessly get a decent job in the future. Finally, overseas students would be more independent in life. For instance, they could learn how to resolve financial issues, time management, take care of themselves by some survival skills such as cooking or treating injuries.

In conclusion, studying in foreign part is a dream of almost students latetly. Despite having a number of cons as well as pros, I do believe that this trend would bring more advantage to the children.
