Please review my IELTS essay

Some people think it is more important to spend money on roads and motorways than on public transport systems. To what extend do you agree?

It is believed that rather than spending money on public transport system, it should be used for roads and motorways. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with the idea that authorities should use money to improve or construct roads and motorways.

On the one hand, as spending too much money on roads and motorways, it results in some unexpected problems. Firstly, by investigating more money in roads and motorways, there will be more vehicles on the roads. For examples, if there are more new streets constructed, it can be considered as an encouragement for the residents to purchase new cars and motors, which can lead to many crowded streets. Furthermore, since many means of transportation on the roads, there will be more cars and motors accidents. As a consequence, we can face more traffic jams and tragic death polls.

Besides, public transport systems are more safer and cheaper. To begin with, if there are many people tend to use public transportation, there is a large amount money can be saved instead of spending constructing or improving the roads and the motorways. For example, the government do not need to use country’s budget in order to repair or construct roads thereby efficiently economizing an amount of money to investigate in other problems. The second point is that when people engage in using public transport systems rather than buying cars to commute, there will not be any tragic car accidents anymore.

In conclusion, in my opinion, for the reasons I have mentioned above, I strongly believe that country’s fund should support public means of transport.
