My essay:
Nowadays, the instances where customers confront a considerable amount of advertisements from competing companies are not very rare. This essay would discuss the extent to which the consumers are influenced by the advertisements and suitable means to protect them.
As a direct consequence of the commercials, consumers are largely affected. With revolutionary animations and a variety of artificial means to visualise the use, quality, appearance and durability of products, businesses manage to change their customer's minds and sell their product. Consequently, it works almost magically in taking advantage of the emotions of consumers who are young. In many instances, the videos also create a false impression of the goods. For example, when one watches them consecutively from several different brands, he might become a sceptic and may eventually decide to test the product right away, only to discover the claim of the advertisement to be false.
In order to alleviate the problem, strict advertisement laws could be announced. In addition, the laws should be enforced accordingly on those companies, so that they cannot take advantage of the consumers by lying in their advertisements. Even if one of the businesses is punished for malpractice, all others would learn the lesson. In addition, flyers can be dispatched to raise awareness among the public, since many people lack knowledge regarding the issue.
In conclusion, it is chiefly the customer's unconsciousness about the matter that allows the companies to exploit them. If the people, law enforcement agencies and the government cooperated with each other then the problem would have been solved.
