Please review my General Writing Task 1 - Thank you!

Preparing for my IETLS so if anyone can, please rate my General Writing Task 1 as I would love to know where to improve. Thank you in advance!

A restaurant has placed an advertisement for waiters and waitresses in your local newspaper.

Write a letter to the restaurant, applying for the job. In your letter:

• explain what you are currently doing
• describe your suitability for this area of work
• say when you can attend an interview

Answer:

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to inform you of my interest in your position as a waiter that I have came across while reading my morning news. At this moment in time, I am currently a 3rd year student at University of Toronto studying Computer Science and planning on making some extra money to support myself; I would like to partake in your business as a part-time waiter as I believe I have what it takes. Obscure to the contrast of my education to the occupation I am applying to, my skills in the hospitality sector are actually vast and audited before entering university as I had one gap year between high school and university to work and travel. Dedicated, hard working, faster learner and great services provider are one of the many things that I am known for and spoken highly of from both my manager and customers at my old job. Thus, I believe that with my skills set and work history, I can help bring forth the best dinning experiences that a customer can get for your restaurant. If this pique your interest, I would like us to have an interview next weeks Thursday if possible, and I look forward to speaking with you in person soon.
