question: Some people think that it is best to live in a horizontal city while others think of a vertical city. discuss both views and give your opinion.
Some people believe that a horizontal city is the best place to live in whereas others think a vertical city is a better option. The two perspectives enjoy their benefits however as I would see it, I like to live in an upward city.
On the one hand, people living in a city that downward has to pay less for building services. Instead of spending a relative portion of their income, they can use the charges to pay for other entertainment services such as NetFlix, spa, cafes, etc.. or they can reserve it in case bad things happen in the future. In addition, living lower to the ground is safer for inhabitants when emergencies occur. For example, your apartment was supposedly in fire, the fire spread so quickly and the smoke was too much to see anything front. If you lived on the tenth floor, the elevator was broken, running from the tenth floor took so much time and you could not survive from the smoke. If you lived on the second floor, you could escape from the fire very quickly.
On the other hand, I believe that living in an upward city is so desirable. Firstly, a city with skyscrapers will have more space for public usage. I think that advantage is so amazing because the population is growing quickly, the land for living is limited so the apartment is a great invention which helps us cut down on destroying forests or natural beauty to meet our demands. Secondly, it is more convenient for residents to live in a tall building because they can receive a wide range of goods and services, thanks to shopping malls and service centers on lower floors.
In conclusion, while there are advantages for residents who live in a city that consists of low-rise construction, it seems to me that living in a city with high-rise construction is more desirable.
