In recent years, many nations have seen a dramatic decline in young people listening to or playing classical music. From my perspective, the reasons behind this phenomenon are twofold. However, the young should be motivated to engage in this type of music.

There are two primary reasons why classical music is losing its dominant role among young people. The most prominent cause is the changes in teenagers’ music taste. Youngsters of today’s world show a keen interest in techno and rock music with a catchy and energetic rhythm. Therefore, classical music that is naturally complicated and long will lose to catch their attention. Another reason for this issue is the inability of the young to afford classical music. Spending money on expensive music courses and luxury instruments is not reasonable for fresh graduates or ones who have not had a secured job. Consequently, teenagers often find playing classical music time-consuming and financially wasteful.

Nevertheless, it is advantageous for young people to sustain an interest in chamber music. To begin with, it boosts people’s cognitive development and helps them to relieve stress. Substantial scientific evidence has shown that listening to classical music requires greater brain engagement and concentration. Thus, this kind of music will enable youngsters to hone their patience and lateral thinking, which are of profound importance in the educational and working environment. Furthermore, stimulating the young to take up classical music is a crucial method that contributes significantly to preserving this type of music. In this day and age, chamber music is becoming increasingly unpopular as teenagers regard it as recreation only for the old generation. If this trend continues to evolve, classical music can disappear from the world in the near future.
