Essay:

In recent years, whether children should enroll in preschool or staying at home all day in the company of their parents has aroused much controversy. This essay will discuss the merits of these two views and state my opinion.

On the one hand, sending children to nursery school enable them to expose to other siblings and prepares them for primary school. To begin with, enrolling in preschool can boost children's social development. Scientific research has pointed out that children form their basic personality from 4 to 7 years old. Therefore, sending kids to schools will allow them to engage with their peers outside the family circle, hone their communication skills, and build their confidence. Furthermore, kids can receive a decent education at nursery school. Attending kindergarten, children will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the learning environment and be equipped with pre-math and literacy skills, which assist them to transfer smoothly into primary education.

On the other hand, many parents insist that their children develop outside the school environment until they reach seven. The primary reason for this point of view is because children could receive better care at home. One teacher at preschool often has to look after 10 to 20 kids; however, a parent only has to deal with 1 to 2 children. Thus, the children can receive greater attention on their physical and mental health at home. Moreover, the relationship between children and their parents can benefit immensely. Staying at home provide parents with invaluable opportunities to establish a strong bond with their offspring. This close family connection will contribute significantly to reducing the gap between generations in the long run.

In conclusion, the benefit of attending nursery school does not outweigh home tutoring. Other factors, such as the facility available at home, the convenience of the family, and the educational quality of kindergarten, should also be considered before sending children to school.
