Youngsters in today’s world seem to show a keen interest in fast food like hamburgers, pizza, and McDonald’s. This type of food leads to children’s high accumulation of lipid, salt, and sugar, which causes them to gain weight quickly. Second, another reason why this problem occurs is because of children’s sedentary lifestyle. They tend to give higher preference to playing computer games and watching TV to taking part in outdoor recreation with their friends. This, along with the high-fat diet, contributes significantly to the rise in childhood obesity.

However, several measures can be taken to address this problem. Firstly, parents should pay adequate attention to their children's diet, ensure that their meal includes enough vegetables and limited fat contents.
