Although more and more people read news on the Internet, newspapers will remain the most important source of news. Do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, an explosion in the use of technologies leads to considerable Internet development, especially in this fast-paced life. The Internet is beginning to rival newspapers as the best source for finding information about what is happening around the world. Whether the Internet become cyber-newspaper to replace the traditional newspapers? I completely agree with the idea that the Internet will soon be as important as the traditional press.
One the one hand, I believe that newspapers will continue to be a vital source of information, even in the technology age. One reason for this is that people are used to getting and updating information through newspapers which are the most popular traditional press. Moreover, not everyone wants to or is able to get online, they like the experience of holding and reading that a newspaper makes rather than looking at a computer screen. For example, old people or those in rural areas do not have abilities or opportunities to access to the Internet, while many of us simply prefer newspapers even they do have Internet access.
On the other hand, the Internet is likely to become just as popular as newspapers for a variety of reasons. Everyone who is not too poverty can own a mobile phone. This means that it is much easier to access to the Internet than ever before no matter wherever or whenever you are. Furthermore, the Internet is an open-environment, people are allowed to shares their ideas freely, discuss them with other people and even contribute with our update on social media. Finally, there are more and more people using the Internet as is they wish to get quality and no cost information.
In sum, I disagree with the view that newspapers will continue to be the best source of news because I believe that the Internet will soon be equally important.
