25 Some people think that instead of preventing climate change, we need to find a way to live with it. Do you agree or disagree?

Accompanying the development of the industrial sector is its consequence on climate that we have to encounter today. Some people claim that instead of utilizing different methods like cutting down the carbon dioxide emission from transportations or planting man-made forests to prevent climate change, we should figure out a way to live with it. From my perspective, I partly agree with this opinion.

On the one hand, we should definitely try to slow down the speed of environment degradation by taking action. First, because this is an international problem, global conferences must be held for central governments to build joint directives that must be followed by all countries. These directives might concern with the effective use of energy including fossil fuels and alternative energy sources, the restrictive amount of emissions, the protection of forest areas. Second, individuals should take action on daily activities that might lead to a negative impact on the environment. For example, we should turn off the light when we go out, or reduce and reuse the plastic bag when we go shopping. Small action today contribute to big effects tomorrow.

On the other hand, I believe that we have to get used to climate change. Since the first industrial revolution, the temperature on Earth has started to increase, and, there is no way that it might decrease someday. Additionally, global warming, as well as other phenomenons are the inevitable consequences of population growth, since we have to exploit the natural environment to meet our basic demand. It might take centuries for the climate to fully adjust, and, through this time, we should find an appropriate way to live with it.
