2 Some people think that work is the most important thing in people's life. Without the success of career, life will become meaningless. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In material age, more and more people decide to stay single and spend all their time chasing a successful line of work. These people claim that their life would be pointless without a prosperous career. From my perspective, I partly agree with this opinion.

On the one hand, successful career is undoutedly important. First, by working, people earn money to pay the bills and purchase things that they want, such as a luxury car or pricey meals in reputable restaurant. Money is also one of the fundamental factors contribute to one’s happiness according to research conducted by scientists. Second, through working, their abilities including knowledge and experiences, which they have acquired from both school and practical internship, can be utilized to help the community. For example, a doctor cure patients from acute diseases in the hospital, and a pharmacist help the residents use medicines more effectively and reduce the side effects.

On the other hand, there are also other important factors, and we should make sure that we pay enough attention to them. Take health as an example, some people spend all their young lifetime working without taking any exercises. Consequently, in their middle-age, starting at the forties, they might get lots of diseases, especially the cardiovascular-related ones. For instance, if a man eats too much fast food without any physical activity, he might get obesity within 10 years. As a result, the standard of life would be declined not only because of medical examination cost but also because of the state of the patient’ s body. Imagine a depressed person having to follow strict rules of diet as well as taking drugs, it would be miserable.

In conclusion, I believe that besides a successful career, there are other elements that are important in life.
