The maps illustrate the transformation of Dubai over the period of decades.

Overall, it is clear that the city has become more developed compared to it in the past.

In the past, the city was covered by sand and there were few buildings. The only feature which has been remained the same is the clock tower .

The most noticeable change is the street has been more crowded with a significant increase in the number of transports .There has been more and more skyscrapers which have been constructed around the city. Although trees located along the side of the road have been removed , some of them have been planted around the edge of the clock tower.
