In recent years, children have been given more freedom than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Many people want to lead their lives in their own way. As compared to past years, children are now allowed to make their own decisions. In my opinion, this is a welcome development because of various reasons.

By giving complete freedom to children, they can do whatever they want which is essential for their growth. They are usually passionate about things, and if they are allowed to make decisions without involving their elders, they can achieve the results quickly. In other words, they will focus on things greatly and will try to benefit from it without the encouragement of other. Many young students from Delhi, the capital of India, for example, go to Australia for higher education and become successful in their career. The reason is they make decisions according to the required situation and do not take advice of others.

Another reason is that children's confidence increases manifold when they are given freedom. This is because they learn from their mistakes considerably when they take decisions by themselves without depending on their elder relatives or family members. Consequently, their confidence increases to a great extent and they never give up easily. The body language of most Chinese students, for instance, is strong and they easily get admissions in foreign universities. This is due to confidence which they get by taking their own decisions since childhood. Thus, permitting children to take decisions help them to grow personally and professionally.

In conclusion, today's children are enjoying more freedom, and this is contributing positively in their careers since they feel more confident and passionate about their decisions.
