From my perspective, I totally agree with this statement because technologies are far more convenient to use than traditional papers and they are also environmentally friendly.

To start with, the main reason why I believe that printed books, magazines and newspapers would soon be supplanted by technologies is that nowadays electric devices such as smartphones or tablets contain a huge amount of information and are easier to carry with. In other words, instead of bringing heavy books with them, people nowadays are able to access a wealth of knowledge with a small and supremely convenient electric device. Furthermore, in addition to delivering information, the function of these technologies varies. For example, people can use an iPad for both work and entertainment purposes.

Another reason why I support the notion that traditional books, magazines, and newspapers would no longer be used is that these paper-based materials are detrimental to the environment. Papers are the main material used to produce these products. In fact, in order to make them, trees have to be cut down, which conceivably results in the problem of deforestation and consequent environmental harm. Additionally, most people read physical magazines and newspapers at once and throw them away, which possibly exacerbates the problem of environmental degradation.

In conclusion, I completely agree that computers and electric devices would replace physical books, magazines, and newspapers. This is because these technologies are far more convenient and versatile. As well as this, they also offer environmental benefits. Given this situation, it seems that this transformation would take a long time to occur in the future.
