With the advent of modern technology, people tend to be into high-tech devices without emphasizing reading books. Nevertheless, reading books is an indispensable habit of successful and well-developed people on the ground of a range of upsides it brings about.

First, broadening one’s mind through books is effective. Apart from dull textbooks which provide basic knowledge, expanding people’s reading list plays an integral part in offering people a chance to gain a better understanding of plenty of fields that they have already known yet hardly understood or do not have any ideas of. This is especially of paramount importance for students to pick out their majors in the future. Besides, on account that each writer has an individual writing style, people are capable of sharpening their literacy skills. These arguments prove that it’s significant for everybody to read at least a book other than textbooks.
