The diagram depicts the process of producing sugar from sugar cane. Overall, the whole process is divided into 07 different steps, from growing sugar cane to drying and cooling sugar.

In the first step, it takes around 12-18 months for sugar cane to ready for harvesting, then in step two, they are harvested by hand or by the harvesting machine which makes the harvesting process quite fast and easy. The third step is to send the sugar canes in a crushing machine which extracts the juice from the sugar canes and then in step four that extracted juice is sent for purifying in a limestone filter. Thereafter, in step five, the juice is put into evaporator and heated until the juice becomes syrup. Following step eight is to separate the sugar crystals from the syrup and for that, it is processed in a centrifuge. The last step of the process is to dry and cool the separated sugar crystals from the syrup.
