Many people argue that in order to improve educational quality, high school students should be encouraged to make comments or even criticism on their teachers. Others think it will lead to loss of respect and discipline in the classroom. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many people argue that encouraging students to give feedback or criticism to their teachers helps enhance educational quality, others believe it only induces chaos and disrespect. In my view, students should be incentivized to voice their opinions about their teachers but only in a constructive and respectful manner.

Encouraging students to give comments on their teachers can help them to gain a better understanding of the lessons. From a scientific point, active and effective learning requires students to think critically and always questions the subject they absorb. In fact, it is scientifically proven that this process of learning not only helps students to retain the information better but also allows them to apply the knowledge into reality more creatively and easily. Furthermore, constructive feedbacks also stimulate the atmosphere of the class, thus, motivating the teacher to teach enthusiastically. It seems that if the class always stays silent, then the teacher would not know whether the students are listening attentively or not. In reality, some students may appear very concentrated in class; they frequently take notes and stay silent but they might be thinking about something else. In contrast, students who give constructive comments make the teacher feel that they apprehend the lesson thoroughly, which inspires confidence and enthusiasm in the teacher.

Conversely, if given hurtful comments or criticism from students, teachers may feel very disrespected. Normally, teachers are the people who possess great knowledge and wisdom and in many societies, teachers are treated with the utmost respect. Therefore, if a student, who commonly has little education and is immature, castigates a teacher, then this would cause shame and embarrassment to the teacher. In some cases, some teachers even have their careers destroyed because of this. Furthermore, chastising teachers ferociously will not help students to improve their understanding of the situation. This is because this way of arguing will always cause anger and resentment, and sometimes fear for all other students in the class. This apparently will shatter the educational quality.

In conclusion, opinions are divided between whether students should make feedback or criticism on their teacher. I personally believe that students should be encouraged to comment constructively and not chastise their teachers
