PLEASE REVIEW MY ESSAY

The diagram illustrates the sources and levels of nitrogen that is dissolved in the groundwater of a city located near the coast.

Nitrogen enters the groundwater by natural processes, oxidation and fixation, as well as human activities, such as agriculture, industry and domestic waste. Some of it is released back to the atmosphere, while the other is discharged to the ocean.

The atmospheric nitrogen is oxidized using the energy from lightning and fixed by vegetation, converting it into a form that can be assimilated into the groundwater. Nitrogen in excessive fertilizers from farming and families’ gardens also percolates into this reservoir. However, the nitrogen levels are most highly concentrated in the areas where domestic liquid waste, leaks from storage tanks and wastewater ponds from factories, and waste disposal in landfills are released. A portion of the nitrogen from all these sources is retained by soil particles or released back to the atmosphere through ammonia degassing and denitrification. Most of it flows with the groundwater to the discharge zone, where the water is above the land surface, and then is discharged into the ocean. The level of nitrogen concentration is comparatively high in the saltwater interface.

It would be nice if you post a sample essay. I really appreciate it.
