My essay:
The two stacked bar charts, one for weekdays and one for weekends, plots the number of hours per day that children spend with their moms, their dads, and both parents. Data is shown for five age groups, ages of 0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9.
including the category of both parents, moms spend far more time than dads from Monday to Saturday. Dads alone consistently spend the least amount of time, except for the groups aged 0-1 and 4-5.
In detail, on weekdays parents spent an average of about 9 hours per day in all age groups, compared to nearly 10 hours on weekends. And the majority of them were by moms exclusively for weekdays and by both parents for weekends, with the same numbers of hours, ranging between 5-6 hours across all age groups. In contrast, the youngest aged 0-1 and oldest 8-9 get very little care from the father alone on weekends, only about 15 minutes, the smallest number on the chart. The time spent on weekdays was similar to that of weekends for the age groups 0-1 (9 hours) and 8-9 (9.8 hours), but it was 1.5 hours more for the others, 8.5 versus 10.
