Some people believe that it is better to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Some people think it is more beneficial to resign oneself to negative circumstances, such as being stuck in a job they are not content with or lacking money. Others feel it is better to try and change these situations for the better. My view is that each person has different approaches to their problems, depending on their situations.
Presumably, those who are from humble backgrounds and are the breadwinners of families usually choose to put up with bad situations. One primary reason is that suppose their endeavor to improve the situation turns out to be a failure, it would adversely affect their family lives. People who work for manipulative and abusive authorities, for instance, although they constantly suffer both emotionally and physically, they still choose to accept the situation. This is because they have obligations for their families, so if they confront their bosses, they would be fired. And since the labor market has become increasingly competitive, they might be out of work for a long time and be unable to support their families. Additionally, perhaps some of these people are rather superstitious; they blame their lack of money on some powerful factors that they can never change. Therefore, if their fates mean being poor forever, they are still willing to accept that.
Others, however, think that at least people should attempt to improve their situations. One possible explanation for this belief is that if people do not proactively solve their problems, they can suffer from dire consequences. For example, working in a very stressful environment or lacking money can lead ones to various problems. And this would adversely affect their personal lives. Indeed, it is quite common to see people return home and vent their pent-up anger at work on their families, resulting in arguments and therefore spoiling the relationships between members of the family. Indeed. These consequences can be similar to the case of shortage of money.
In conclusion, while some believe that people should accept negative situations, others feel it is better to make an effort to improve the situations. I personally believe some unlucky people may have no choices other than to put up with their situations. However, if people have opportunities it is more sensible to try and address their problems.
