Topic: Which do you prefer when choosing a job: a high salary or a lot of vacation leaves?

Nowadays, many people have difficulty in making career decisions. They tend to find themselves on crossroad to look for suitable jobs or to consider leaving their existing occupation. A high salary is important to someone but the paid time off can be a top priority to the other. Personally, I favor the idea of having a lot of vacation leaves which allows us to recover from physical and mental exhaustion, have a work-life balance and increase creativity and innovation.

To start with, vacation time is a good way for employees to recharge their batteries. It is true to say that workers deserve a long vacation as a recognition for their contribution. Specifically, when they have time off, they will have a chance to take a rest and have enough sleep. Moreover, they tend to lower the level of depression, relieve their stresses and set a new target. I will take my brother as an example. One month ago, my brother is under pressure of his work and it leads him to poor health. So, he decided to use his vacation leaves to travel to Japan with my family. After the journey, he recovered from illness and spent 100 percent energy to his job.

In addition, workers tend to engage with the company where they can have work-life balance. Today, works are more intense than a decade ago. Moreover, most employees feel worried about personal lives such as house payment, utility bills, childcare, healthcare and so on. The strong pressure of work leading them to psychological strain may affect family life. Therefore, the needs of work-life balance have significantly increased. Vacation leave is a great way for workers to spend time taking care of their beloved and relaxing after burdensome work-related tasks.

Finally, creativity and innovation are other leading factors that should be taken into consideration when it comes to choosing a profession. When workers, especially in the design industry, have a chance to connect with nature, they will increase positive emotions and gain new experiences. Consequently, they boost their creativity. Additionally, the more you interact with nature, the stronger innovative and creative you receive.

In conclusion, people have their own choices of jobs which perfectly satisfy them. For me, a lot of vacation leaves is the top preference to make decisions about taking jobs.
