Please review my essay

Topic: Some people believe that the only purpose of films is to entertain. Others say films should have educational value. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

My essay:

It is true that a rich variety of movie styles can be found around the world. While some argue that music just has simply been as a form of enjoyment, I believe that the education valuation of the movie has to be concerned.

On the one hand, many people find films more enjoyable than the films produced in order to entertain. Several movies have huge budgets for action, special effects and to shoot scenes in spectacular locations. A good example of such productions is that Hollywood blockbusters, which often star the most famous actors and actresses or even are made by the most accomplished producers and directors. More importantly, numbers of audiences of such a genre of movies often are the young generation that spends a lot of time on relaxing at the weekend or after school. This means many film-makers might be funded by a wide range of different financial resources, which would be run with the sole aim of maximising profit.

On the other hand, movies should be valued in the education area. First, the movie both expresses and arouses emotions in a way that a real world alone cannot. Another reason is that the older generations could pass down their experiences and understanding to the youth throughout movies. In order to express the culture, customs, and history of our country, we could connect the younger to the past and form part of our cultural identity thanks to documentary genres. It would be a real pity if entertained films became so predominant that such educational movies disappeared.

In conclusion, the movie is a vital part of human existence, and I believe that education movies should be more important than entertained movies.
