Some people think that children's free time must include educational activities otherwise they will waste their time.

What is your opinion?

Education plays an obviously important part of people’s lives. Some people say that students need to study at all time including their leisured time , if they do not they will waste their time. However, I strongly believe that children should be allowed to relax in the playtime.

Some opponents argue that children’s spare time must include educational activities otherwise they will waste their time. First, being busy with school, hardly can children find time to self-study and to revise what has been taught in class, leading to the need of studying hard. Therefore, they should devote more time to study, and use their free time to learn instead of playing video games, chatting with friends or surfing the web. Moreover, because learning is a limitless process, it is partly true that children should learn as much as they can when they are free.

On the contrary, I am convinced that it is too much studying has many drawbacks for kids. First of all, many parents say that their children are too tired after a long school day, so it is difficult for them to continue without relax. Without recreation, children will be inevitably stressed and fatigue, followed by ineffective lessons, which is considered to be counterproductive. More seriously, under the pressure of study, students may be gone down with depression, which has negative effects on their mental and physical life. For example, in china, a great number of students have done in due to weariness of education, they say that they need to refresh after several hard working hour at school .

To sum up, though education is never superfluous , parents need to ensure that their kids have enough time to unwind from study.
