Some schools are very strict about their school uniforms and the appearance of their students, while others have a very relaxed dress code. What are the advantages and disadvantages of children of having a school uniform?

In many schools around the world, students are required to wear school uniforms. However, other educational institutions do not implement this rule as part of the decision reached by their boards and the parents. Consequently, wearing school uniform does have its pros and cons.

On the one hand, let us talk about its advantages. One of the main advantages of school uniform is the reality that every student looks the same. Poor students do not feel inferior. In addition, school uniforms are a form of unity in the school, wherein the student wears the same uniform that gives them the identity. This surely gives them the identity from other schools. Another advantage of wearing school uniform is you can feel proud because of the feeling that you belong to a certain school. Just wearing the uniform together with its logo can provide you the best chance to feel proud of your school.

On the other hand, some students are uncomfortable with uniforms, as they cannot just pick them up from their closets. This can cause a large distraction and interfere with learning during the school day. What is more dangerous, safety can be put in line. It will be easier for criminals to enter the school premises unnoticed. In a little more detail, if everyone will be in the same clothes, students are unable to show their personality and their own fashion style.

On the whole, wearing school uniform could be a requirement of your school that you should comply. However you detest doing it, it is imperative to follow your school’s policies and regulations.
