Topic: Some people believe that people have the right to university education and government should make it free no matter what their financial background. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is true that education has become a hot topic in recent years because of a wide range of benefits it bring to public, especially, studying university. Some adopt a view that the official should provide access to university for all students with free paying. However, as far as I am concerned, this policy would not be feasible.

On the one hand, it is alleged that the state must take encouragement for the poor into consideration. Strong evidence shows that most of them can go on higher education on the basis of incentives and loans with low interests from the government. Without those ones, they hardly continue their further studying in the prosperous institutions where can bring them well-paid career such as lawyers, doctors, architects due to expensive paying. Subsequently, they are obviously subjected to exclude from the desires of entering university.

On the other hand, it is impractical if the government provide free university education for all students regardless of their social and financial backgrounds. One reason is that the cost of building and running campuses to serve all unprecedented students would be prohibitive. Even if the authorities have to give the expenses for maintenance down the road during their 4-5 year studying. Another reason is that a country considered to develop balancedly should take notice of diverse fields. If they spend high budget on education, it cannot have enough funds to invest in other areas such as hospital, environment, economy. Therefore, it would be more effective if they just open the door to university for those who can meet the demands of fee paying as well as abilities.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the youngsters have the privilege of pursuing university education if they can pay for it.
