Favorite pastime or popular hobby?

Hobbies can be used for taking away the stress from everyday life. Now-a-days having a popular hobby is preferred by many people than having a favorite pastime. It is argued that having an avocation that is popular or fashionable would not help somebody to gain mental peace. It will be shown that doing a beloved recreational activity would help bring happiness into people's lives.

Living a happy life can be achieved through spending more time on the things that would appease the mind. The more time people spend on the best-liked hobbies, the more their hearts will be satisfied. This will bring more happiness into their lives easily, since self satisfaction is the key to happiness. Popular hobbies might bring a person into the lime light, but cannot give the contentment.

Statistics show that with the increasing pressure of having popular hobbies like playing golf or playing high-end video games, people are spending more time and money to be blended in the modern society. This simply results in more frustration. Instead, if they spend time on what they like, they will put more sincere effort in their favorite activity and will achieve more knowledge in that field. In this way more knowledge will make them feel more contented and happy.

Some people like to have a hobby of their own, and some people like to have a hobby that is well-liked in the public. It is shown that they can have favorite and memorable times in their lives only if they do their favorite hobbies.
