Please Review IELTS Writing Task 1

The pie charts illustrate the rating of Parkway Hotel’s customer service on a survey responded by its tourists in the years 2005 and 2010.

Overall, the customer satisfaction increased considerably over the 5-year period. The majority of hotel guests rated its customer service as satisfactory or poor in 2005, while the hotel’s service was considered good or excellence by most visitors in 2010.

In 2005, 45% of the hotel’s visitors rated its customer service as satisfactory, whereas the second largest proportion of tourists (21%) considered its service to be poor, almost half the figure of satisfactory rating. Only 5% of total customers considered the hotel’s service to be excellent, and the figure for good rating almost tripled that amount, at 14%.

In 2010, the proportions of visitors who thought hotel’s service was good and excellence rose to 39% and 28% respectively. There was a sharp drop in the percentage of “satisfactory” rating, falling from 15% in 2005 to just 4% in 2010. By 2010, the proportion of guests who described customer service as satisfactory had fallen by nearly threefold, to just 17%, compared to only 12% of visitors who considered the customer service to be poor.
