The population of the world is ever-growing. Some people believe that this increase has created an unsustainable situation and will lead to a global crisis. Other people believe that only through an increasing population can the world's economy and society develop. In my opinion, it is better to have less human population growth on a single earth.

Increasing population phenomena is not constant throughout the world. However, the population is undergoing significant growth, especially in less developed countries like Africa, India, Indonesia, and China. Many people living in these countries frequently face shortages of water, food, cooking fuel, and medicines. Due to this, many citizens have to survive in substandard living conditions by western standards. With more inhabitants, these difficulties will worsen, and helping these countries might also strain other countries' resources and economies. Also, from the environmental point of view, the growth of the human population has caused the extinction of many endangered species. As to fulfill the basic human needs like home and food the cultivable land generally comes at the cost of cutting down the limited forest available on the earth. Hence, this is a never-ending chain reaction of a complete disaster of our natural eco-system, which eventually will lead to a human beings extinction in the long-run.

On the other hand, many countries cannot reach their economic potential due to the lack of a skilled workforce. For these countries, a growing population can mean a more robust economy and a better living standard. Growing populations can also lead to a growing demand for goods, allowing economies to expand. However, the problem is that countries that require labor forces and increasing demand are already more developed countries and meet some of these needs by immigration and exporting goods.

In conclusion, while some regions of the world require larger workforces to develop their economies, but the continuously increasing population could lead to a crisis within countries that already struggle to provide for their inhabitants. Hence in my opinion its better to have a high-quality environment and low manpower rather than having a low-quality environment and high manpower.
