Over the last decades, many nations witnessed the significant migration of people from multicultural backgrounds. There are several factors that lead to this phenomenon. In this essay, this trend will be viewed positively with certain benefits.

To begin with, it is obvious that globalization is the main reason why many nations consist of people who have different cultural backgrounds. Firstly, with the development of technology and transportation, humans have more chances to travel, study, and settle oversea rather in the past. For example, more and more Vietnamese young people are offered opportunities to study abroad due to the information which can be found easily on search platforms or overseas student communities on social media. Secondly, the demand for foreign trading encourages merchants to work in foreign countries. It is clearly evident that technological businessmen often have to go on their business in other nations to exchange and advance technology.

On top of that, residents with different identities can bring a variety of advantages for both countries and individuals. On the national level, multicultural residents are facilitators of cementing the international relations and cooperation of countries, which benefits the nations’ power and economies. For instance, ASEAN national leaders tend to visit others in which a large section of Vietnamese people live in order to not only visit the overseas residents but also strengthen the link between the 2 countries, which enables trading and political collaboration to develop. On the individual level, people from developing countries can regenerate their standard of living as well as change their life by migrating to first-world countries. Nowadays, Africans who live in poverty long to work overseas to gross better incomes and give their families better quality of living.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, I strongly state that globalization is the major reason why many nations consist of multiple cultures. Meanwhile, I think that this situation affects development in a positive way due to the fact that this is an opportunity to strengthen international relations and improve the living of people.
