Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?
In today's advanced world, science and technology have helped improve all aspects of our life even in the field of agriculture. But even with advancement in agriculture, every day many people around the globe continue to suffer from hunger. This essay will discuss the possible reasons behind this issue and also suggest some ways to solve the situation.
The foremost reason that results in food shortage is the climate change problem. Extreme and unpredictable weather conditions such as serious drought, long-drawn flood, storm, etc cause great difficulties in maintaining crops and productivity. Therefore, leading to wide-spread famine due to the lack of sufficient food sources. Poverty in education leads to low-self-awareness that can be listed as one of the most fundamental reasons for the insufficient food supply. In addition, the issues of hunger could stem from consecutive wars amongst nations.
The possible solutions for these global issues can be short term and long term. In the short term plan, it is encouraged to establish charity foundations that can raise funds to sponsor agricultural products and food for poor people. On the other hand, governments as well as worldwide organizations should introduce strict rules to prevent detrimental social and political situations, and set out a practical policy for long-term agricultural development (improve the food’s quality, enhance crop, productivity, etc)
In conclusion, there are many reasons that can result in a large number of people in the world having to suffer from hunger. From my perspective, these problems could be addressed with the relevant remedies.
