The story was about the famous Canterville Ghost haunts Canterville Chase, a large old house. But the ghost becomes unhappy when the new owners play terrible tricks on him. The new owners is Hiram B.Otis, the American Ambassador. Mr Otis live with his lovely wife, Mrs Otis and their children, and the twins. Everybody who was live in this house before Mr Otis's family will not stay for a long time in there because the house really haunted. But Mr Otis's family not frighten with Canterville Ghost. Actually, Canterville Ghost's name is Sir Simon de Canterville. He was murdered his wife and live in that house for nine years after that and disappeared suddenly and very mysteriously. When the night came, Canterville Ghose was coming out from his place and tried to harass the family with make a noisy sound with wore the heavy, husty chains hung from his arms and legs. But the family still not frighten with him and gave him a small bottle of Smith's Rising Sun Oil to put at his husty chains to become quite. The Canterville Ghost was harassing them with anything style but the family also still not afraid. He became pale and ill because of the family. Lastly, he cried and was help him because she felt sorry for him. The Canterville Ghost was told the whole story about himself and agree to help him. Finally, with 's help, a skeleton with chained belong's to Sir Simon de Canterville was met in the secret room. From that time, the Canterville Ghost not exist anymore. Before that, the Canterville Ghost gave jewel box to to show that he was appreciate with 's help



"The Canterville Ghost", a short story masterpiece from Oscar Wilde's Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, published in 2000, introduces Hiram B Otis, an American Ambassador, his wife, Lucretia, their oldest son, Washington, their 15-year old daughter, Virginia, and the twins. The story starts when Otis wants to buy the Canterville Chase, even though the lord had warned him that it is haunted. Otis and his family do not believe in ghosts. The ghost is Sir Simon de Canterville who had killed his wife. He always makes noises with his blood-stained, rusty chains and disturbs the people in the house. It is funny when the writer shows how the family members bravely talk to the ghost and succeed in making him give up. talks one night to the ghost, who tells her that he realizes how bad he is and that he wants to be dead. is shocked in the beginning, but then she becomes very interested in accompanying the ghost all through all night. The ghost is very friendly to her, bringing her to the other world behind the wall for a few days. As the resolution, comes back with the jewel box and brings her family to visit the ghost, who is sick for the last time.

The writer ends the story well. The ghost is buried at the place he wanted and marries the young Duke of Cheshire (not her brother, Washington!). The story is a simple one with an interesting plot. It contains many new words and the sentences were very easy to understand, making it suitable to all reading levels.
