All education and healthcare should be funded by the government and free for everyone

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion.

My essay:

It is often argued that government should provide free education and health care for everyone, Although I agree that the government’s provision in education and medical care would be beneficial for society, I think this policy is not fully effective in some countries.

On the one hand, the government should allocate a large part of its budget to education and health care for every citizen. Everyone will be entitled to free education and health care, which would raise the quality of livings for citizens. For example, if every person has access to education, the country will be developed in the future. With the provision of free medical care, the well-being of people would be improved. This way, the government will become trustworthy in everyone’s heart so people will believe in their government’s policy, which made their country become more and more positively thriving.

On the other hand, in some developing countries, providing this welfare would deficit the government’s budget. This leads to an economic crisis in these countries and therefore the country’s development will be eased. It can directly affect citizen’s well-being. Moreover, these free provisions should be implemented only for children and old-age people. If everyone has these social services, it will cost much more money for this sector in the government’s budget.

To conclude, though I agree that government should fund all education and healthcare free for everyone in their countries, I think that they should adjust this policy to make it more appropriate to the country’s economic situation.
