Hello! I thought of writing a story, and well, I have written a chapter, and please rate it, and point out the mistakes so they can be corrected in the future

Part One : The Awakening
Chapter One_ : _The Final War
It was the 500th day of war, so obviously not a day to celebrate. Every single country had its own army, fighting for glory and the final stand on this world. Forests were cleared, mountains destroyed, oceans evaporated and troops set up in fear of a surprise attack by the enemy.

Nuclear bombs exploded, mutating millions of animals per day, and almost all the species perished. In the midst of all this chaos, with Ares creating havoc, a new force seemed to be rising from the ground. The fear of supernatural forces rose in the heart of the humans and they accelerated their way to death and destruction. As days passed and human races perished, earthquakes of super-high magnitude and eruption of volcanoes became common.

After 510 days of hell, after every single resource of every single country in the world got depleted, the humans decided to forge a temporary unity among countries, till they healed themselves. All the remnant countries found this appealing and when they were about to sign the pact, a mountain literally exploded, revealing a group of people in the midst of the dust that had erupted.
