Please proofread this time travel question.

Question: Why did Michael want his teams on this date, before and after?

Context: Michael and his team can travel in time. They decided to stop 9-11 incident. So Michael put two teams before and after this date(9/11/2001).

I want to ask somebody a question on Michael's decision of putting teams before and after this date.
