Question: How Michael's convince has anything to do with Sheela's fault?

Michael thinks that It was only half Sheela's fault...because he had done everything to convince her...that he was exactly what she wanted.

I want to ask somebody a question how Michael's convince related to Sheela's fault. I am weak in Interrogative grammar. Please help me.
