Computers, not just simple machine anymore with the Internet access, have significantly affected people’s lives up till now in several ways. First of all, the access and ability to use the computers help improve people’s learning. Nowadays, the Internet becomes the major source for getting information, and students are required to do their studies with computers. According to the report of computer and Internet use by students in 2003 that was done by National Center for Education Statistics, it turned out that about 91 percent of children age 3 and over and in nursery school through grade 12 use computers; about 46 percent of students use the Internet to complete school assignments among those students who use computers. In addition, business and economic situation has been remarkably globalized with the help of computers. As Thomas Freidman mentioned in his book, “The world is flat,” the computers with access to the Internet have allowed companies to split service in fastest, cost-effective way with other companies that are located in the apposite side of each. U.S. and companies, for instance, are able to cooperate effectively because of their perfect time difference; when Americans are sleeping, Indians are working. This makes each country possible to get the finished works every morning just by one click of e-mail. Finally, computers have affected the recent job trend. These days many people are having computer-related jobs due to huge demands include the following: a software programmer, a web developer, a network engineer, and a webmaster, etc. With all these effects, the computers have changed every corner of people’s lives and their influence will keep going in the future.
