I want you to be able to handle any of these tasks and more gracefully, intelligently, and to always be on my side and my advocate in these matters.

What's wrong with this sentence?

Sorry for double posting, but can someone please tell me if this sentence is unnatural or not, I've never heard the bold part used all my life. Thank you.

I'd say it as I want you to be able to handle any of these task s, and to do it (ie to handle them) more gracefully and i ntelligently, and to always be on my side and be my advocate in these matters.

Hi Clive,

Thanks again.

But my question is:

I want you to be able to handle any of these tasks and more gracefully, intelligently, and to always be on my side and my advocate in these matters.

Is this sentence grammatically correct? I know you've added how you would say it, but this sentence was said by a "native" so i'm just wondering if it's grammatica

Hi,

If one of my students wrote this, I'd definitely say it was incorrect. If a Nobel prize-winning author wrote it, I'd say he was using the language in an unusual way.
