I just finished my cover letter for applying to Erasmus program, but I want to avoid all mistakes in order to don´t make a bad first impresion. Would somebody correct it for me, please. I´ll appriciate a lot. The dead line is tomorow, so the quicker you´ll manage it, the better. Thaks a lot in advance.
Dear Ms Kunzová,
according to the advertisement, that was published on web sites of The School of Law, I am writing to you to apply for The Erasmus exchange programme selective procedure.
To study abroad was my dream from the very beginning of my university studies and in view of this I already took steps towards achieving it. Not only am I taking courses intended for higher years of study in order to have more time to completely focus on my possible abroad studies, I also took part in a work-stay programme in The USA to improve my English skills to be able to cope with teaching in English.
In course of my studies has gradually increased my interest in alternative ways of solving civil disputes, mainly arbitration and mediation, and human rights. On that account I have found articles at Sdružení rozhodcu, a.s., company engaging in arbitration. In The Erasmus programme I would like to focus on a mediation since there is no course dealing with this issue available for me at The Masaryk University. I would also intend to take courses emphasis on human rights in European context.
That is the reason why I would like to be an exchange student at The Copenhagen University in Denmark, because there is taught a special course in mediation as well as courses European Court of Human Rights and Human Rights in the European Union.
I believe that my participation in The Erasmus exchange programme would be a great experience for me and that I would gain plenty of new knowledge and abilities. Withal, considering my academic achievements and my language preparation, I believe that I would represent The Masaryk University with dignity.
Thank you for taking my application into consideration.
Yours sincerely
