Please need story correction (Unit 3)

Hi Teachers,

I rewrote these short stories, could you correct them please? Any suggestions are more than welcome.

They are for low intermediate students.

Julia often gets up late and she got up late this morning. She took a very quick shower and got dressed very quickly. For breakfast she only ate some cornflakes and drank some coffee. Because she didn’t have very much time this morning, she did not wash the dishes and she didn’t clean the kitchen table.

Julia is having lunch with her friend Nancy.

Nancy: Were you late again this morning?

Julia: Yes, I was, and the manager was in the office, too!

Nancy: Oh! Did he see you?

Julia: Yes, he did. He saw me when I came in, at twenty past nine.
