Please Need Correction. Arthur's new factory

Would you correct this paragraph, please?

Arthur started his own factory in 1987. He had to work 60 hours a week at first, but earned £45,000 that year. Arthur’s life wasn’t easier, but it was better. He smoked a lot of cigarettes every day and drove a large car. His wife had a car too.
