TASK 1:
The provided pie charts illustrate data on electricity items by fuel source in Australia and France over the 20-year period, from 1980 to 2000
Overall, the units of electricity production increased from 100 units to 170 units in Australia where coal is still the main production by fuel source whilst the units off nuclear power outstripped in France rising from 90 units to 180 units over the period.
From 1980 to 2000, the percentage of coal increased sharply from 50% to more than 75% in Australia while dropping in France was dramatic from more than 25% to 12%. Similarly, the majority of Hydro Power has a minimal climb from 20% to 22% in Australia whilst an enormous decline in France was from more than 5% to 1%.
In contrast, nuclear power outstripped in France in 2000, from 17% to 67% while Australia hasn't used it. In addition, oil and natural gas reduced in both countries.
It is clear that by 2000 these two countries relied on different principal fuel sources.
