Brief Autobiographical Sketch
I am now a freshman in college and I am looking forward to this upcoming school year, especially because I am a fish, so I have to try hard. I like to travel, play guitar, and play volleyball. I have traveled to countries such as South Korea with my older brother, Mike. I also took a trip to Japan, and Ecuador. My favorite subjects in school are mathematics and science. During the 2003-2004 high school year, I took Pre-calculus GT with Mrs. Burn as my teacher. It was a great experience because it was my second year with Mrs. Burn. It was great to have her again because she allowed me to understand everything so well. I learned a lot from her and she really prepared me for Calculus AB AP with Mr. Siegert. Mrs. Burn has been one of two teachers that I have had twice in my high school career. Since math is such a critical academic subject, it was great to have her twice so I could understand the subject well. After I graduated from high school; I was planned to apply at University of Houston. Unfortunately, things did not turn out how I planned it. I know I would definitely go if I get accepted. The reason why I wanted to go to University of Houston is because I am leaning towards the field of medicine and I would like to attend medical school. After I earn my bachelor’s degree; I would like to major in something like Biochemistry or something Mathematical. I signed up for Statistics this semester and I think it is very interesting class, mainly, for two reasons. One reason is that it can be helpful in my future career. The second reason is that in the real world, statistics is everywhere so it would be loads of help to know the basics of statistics before going out into the real world and deal with it. For example, when I start living on my own, I would have to deal with taxes, Taxes have a bunch of stats on them and it would be helpful to organize them using skills learned in this class.
