We are afraid the heater we sold to you might be broken. Please let us know if the heater works, accordingly.

[This sentence is taken from the thread "accordingly". I have read almost all posts there, but I can't understand why "accordingly" is used in this sentence]

Could you tell me why "accordingly" is used here? or what it means in this sentence?

Here is my guess :

We are afraid the heater we sold to you might be broken. Please let us know if the heater works as I said in the first sentence --------"heater might be broken".
