Topic: The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given bar chart shows the difference in Australian male and female of variable age groups who regularly did exercises in 2010. Overall, the percentage of men taking physical exercises was higher than that of women, except for the 15 to 24 groups.

In three former age groups, the percentage of men had a tendency to gradually increase, while the proportion of women was opposed to that. A majority of 15 to 24-year-old female did regular physical activity, but the number decreased moderately from more than 50 percent to 42, 2 percent in 25 to 24 group. In constrast, the number of men from 15 to 24 years old taking exercises was smaller than that of women in the same age. However, the percentage went up steadily and reached more than 52 percent in 35 to 44-year-old group, much higher than women’s proportion.

In three latter age groups, the women’s percentage increased slightly from 43, 1 percent to 46, 7 percent in 65-year-old and over. However, the proportion of male tended to declined slowly by more than 6 percent. Notwithstanding that, the number of male was still higher than female’s.
